01 / Context

Know where the time goes.

Independent work often spans several clients and projects at once. Argos was created as an internal tool to keep that work organized and to record the time spent on each task as it happens.

The aim is simple: connect the work being done with a clear record of the time it takes, without losing track of the larger project.

02 / Workflow

From a task to a reliable record.

Work is arranged by client, project and task. A timer can be started when work begins on a task and stopped when the session ends. The user records what was done, and the time is added to that task's total.

Each task can have an estimated duration. Comparing that estimate with the time already recorded makes it easier to see what remains, identify an overrun or notice when work takes less time than expected.

01 / ORGANIZE

Clients and projects

Keep separate engagements and their tasks clearly structured.

02 / RECORD

Work sessions

Track time on a task and describe the work completed.

03 / COMPARE

Estimated and actual time

See how recorded work compares with the time initially planned.

03 / Monthly review

Turn recorded work into invoices.

Because work sessions are attached to tasks and projects, Argos provides the record needed to review activity at the end of each month and generate invoices for the work carried out.

This connects day-to-day time tracking with a concrete administrative need, while keeping the history of work understandable for each client project.

04 / Current use

An internal tool used in practice.

Argos is used to manage AUKIAN's project time across clients. It brings task planning, recorded sessions and monthly invoicing into a workflow built around the way the work is actually done.
